$0 cost, bring food and/or supplies to share, if you can!
The first one was such an absolute success that we're doing it again right away!
NOTE: RSVPing is important for this event so we know how many tables and chairs to set up! We will leave the door near the parking lot unlocked from 6:30 to 7:30 - if you need to get in after that, send us a message or email.
A Stitch N' Bitch is when a bunch of fiber artists - that's knitting, crocheting, sewing, felting, spinning, quilting, embroidery, etc. - get together to work on their individual projects, skill share, and shoot the breeze. A potluck is a tool we queers have been using for ages as a means of community support. Why not both?
Don't do fiber art? Want to learn? Several members have volunteered to bring knitting/crochet supplies and teach how to use them. If making stuff out of yarn isn't your speed, bring those clothes you've been meaning to repair or alter. We'll have needles, thread, and knowledge on hand!
See the OhioSMART Queers group for the companion post where you can share what you'll be bringing and some cool project links.
This is a queers' event that is by queers for queers. If you're not queer/questioning and super jealous of this event, please put in a request for the main SMART organization to hold a Stitch N Bitch!.
There is a small parking lot right next to the building, as well as street parking all around. Please be considerate of folks with mobility concerns - if you can safely and comfortably walk, use a street spot
