OhioSMART SMART Ties: Constructing Rope Scenes with/without Dynamics or Roleplay

Our August OhioSMART SMART Ties class is Constructing Rope Scenes with/without Dynamics or Roleplay. @Bambi_Simmons and @ServiceElevator will be instructing.

This is an intermediate course. Please have a decent understanding of a single column tie and reverse tensions.

You've learned knots, frictions, and specific ties… now what? Today, we will be teaching the construction of a rope scene from start to end. Bambi and I will explain how we made our risk profiles and how we convey those profiles to our play partners; thoroughly discuss how to negotiate and plan for yellow/red safe word use for both partners; and demonstrate how to add or avoid roleplay and/or D/S dynamics in your scenes. This class is grounded in the idea that there is no "one true way" to run a rope scene, but these are general guidelines that we follow and have used with success in our kink journeys.

Comfortable clothes for tying.

Although the ties taught in the class can be self-tied, it helps to bring a partner along to practice the negotiation topics covered in today's class.

We will be demonstrating a mermaid tie on the legs as it relates to scene construction and negotiation. This Mermaid tie can be versatile for both floor work and partial/full suspension scenes.
