Presenter Bio:
By day, Lucy is a psychological consultant in private practice, and by night…well, these days she’s mostly living the white-picket-fence type of life. Once in a while, she emerges from her comfortably vanilla façade to give and receive pain, enjoying the destruction and resurrection of beautiful things. She has presented at AIS’ Winter Wickedness, Galleria Domain 2, Madtown Kinkfest, OhioSMARTies Rope Group, Ohio Smart’s KDM, as well as other local and regional events. She has previously served on staff for Power Exchange Summit, Beyond the Love Polyamory Conference, The Guilty Pleasures Stage Show, and The Monkey Puzzle Club, all of Columbus, OH. She now resides in Louisville, KY with her life partner, Mr. Smith, and their children of both the fur and non-fur variety.
Description:
Trauma. The real-world, lasting effects type of shit that can impact our daily lives and relationships. Do we play with it? Can we base our kink around it? In this discussion based class, we will talk about the pros and cons of playing with real life trauma, and incorporating past negative experiences into erotic, pain, and humiliation play. We will share ideas on how to work through difficult moments, explore psychological safety and self-care. This class is intended for intermediate to advanced players who understand the necessity of personal responsibility. Trigger Warning: Topics of real-life abuse and trauma experiences may be discussed. This class is not intended as group-therapy and discussions that become overly personal may be redirected.
