We will be making rope at this class. Grab your supplies and come out to make your very own rope! You only need one type of fiber. You can always bring any of the different types listed.
Here's what you will need to bring along -
Rope Making Supplies
Jute (supplies at Drug Mart)
Jute - 30ft length of rope (1) 235 ft of 2ply jute twine.
Jute - 10ft length of rope (1)
80 ft of 2ply jute twine.
Clean cotton cloth
Jojoba oil
Cotton - (Joann Fabrics: Sugar & Spice yarn super size)
Cotton - 30ft length of rope (1)
400 ft of cotton yarn.
*Cotton - 10ft length of rope (1)
135 ft of cotton yarn.
Bamboo Silk - (Joann Fabrics: Pattons yarn)
Bamboo Silk - 30ft length of rope (1)
400 ft of Bamboo Silk yarn.
Bamboo Silk - 10ft length of rope (1)
135 ft of Bamboo Silk yarn.
Bringing snacks/food to share are encouraged, but not required. We will have time to refresh, re-hydrate, and nosh.
SMART Ties meetings are open to anyone 19 and older and no membership is needed. We aim to be an fun, education-based group focused on teaching, sharing, and exploring the fascinating world of rope, open to ALL levels of experience.
