Suspension Recipe
This class is aimed at those who are just starting out with rope suspension. The insights will be useful to rope tops and bottoms at every skill level, especially if you are teaching rope, or if you are wanting to learn from a different teaching method.
Most rope classes teach specific patterns by the "watch and tie along" method. Nothing wrong with that. This class, however, is different.
In this class, you'll be watching up close (like really up close) as BN ties, at speed, a minimalist box tie chess harness with matching thigh wraps and gets his partner in the air.
Then you'll watch as he ties it again, at a slightly slower speed, with some annotations.
Then you'll watch as he tied it again, at a slightly slower speed with more annotations.
By the fourth time you see the recipe, it will be boring.
And you will have insights into exactly what has been keeping you from tying your partner for suspension. You'll leave class knowing what you need to work on.
Bio:
BondageNexus has been tying himself and others for 45 years. He can even remember some of what he's learned. About a dozen years ago he became convinced that suspension really was the be-all, end-all of rope, and maybe even of life. That led him to create circus performances with rope bondage, where, miraculously, no one was killed.
When he's not bragging about his knowledge of the one true way of rope, BondageNexus can be found setting out snacks and stacking chairs at the Central Ohio Rope Group in Columbus.
AliceSprings is fairly new to rope, and for some reason occasionally trusts BondageNexus with her life, allowing him to dangle her in the air from some twisted jute grass.
